 Hi! So I put this in the introduction section of my profile however, I wanted to also make a post introducing myself! That way you, my lovely readers, can ask questions or open a discussion about similar interests. 


I'm here to, hopefully, create a community that loves books and we are free to discuss the stories we love. 

With that said here is a little bit about me...

My name is Madison Harper. I like to read stories that leave a mark. The more emotionally damage the better. 😆

I live near the Appalachian Mountains with my 3 amazing children and where my mama read me stories of our home. The folklore here runs deep and when I'm in the mountains I feel the most grounded and connected. The atmosphere here is magical and it's probably the whole reason stories of fantasy and magic appeal the most to me. 

My favorite genre of books are dark romance, gothic, and romantasy. Slow burns are the best, preferably when they are enemies to lovers and morally grey characters make my heart sing. 


I also believe that the best stories you feel in your soul and they don't end, they linger and become a part of you. When the stories become a part of you, that means they don't end, even after the last page. 🤎📚.

Inherit the Stars✨ by Amy Ressa Review

Oh my stars!!! It’s my very first review for my blog, and I am SO excited, so let’s get into it. Fair warning: there are minor spoilers ahead. Nothing that gives away major plot points, but I do talk about characters and a few moments I loved. I found Amy on TikTok when she was looking for ARC readers for Inherit the Stars. She described it as a Sailor Moon inspired fantasy romance, and I was immediately sold. That description also raised my standards higher than usual for an ARC read. Sorry, Amy!! I’m sure as a fellow Sailor Moon fan you understand. 😆 And let me just say she surpassed every expectation. This book is near God-tier for me. The world-building is layered and thoughtful: easy to follow, but never simplistic. The political system is fragile, complex, and constantly on the brink, something you really feel as the story unfolds. Bride of Ash and Dust🌹🖤 by Meredith Hart Review

 🚨 DISCLAIMER 🚨 I was sent an ARC of this book in exchange for my honest opinion. All thoughts and opinions are my own.  Bride of Ash and Dust by Meredith Hart was such a solid start to what I think is going to be a really addictive romantasy series. One thing that stood out right away was the chapter structure. Super short chapters with alternating POVs between the two main characters. At first, it threw off the pacing for me a bit. It felt a little too choppy, like the story couldn’t quite settle. But as the book went on, it definitely evened out. The chapters stay short, but the flow improves and starts to feel more intentional. And listen, no spoilers, but Lilias eating the wedding cake off the sword?😱 Yeah.
