Haunt by Meg Alivien👻 Review

Disclaimer: I received an ARC of this book and am leaving my honest review. I did read and review the other books in the Monster Boyfriend Series. They are in the previous post.  Going into Haunt, I already had a sense of the cozy, spooky atmosphere that the Monster Boyfriend Series delivers. What I didn’t expect was just how much I would end up loving this one. One of the things I appreciated right away was the tone of Theodore’s POV. Because he isn’t from the modern era, the author uses a slightly different voice for him compared to the other characters, and it really works. It makes his perspective feel distinct while also reinforcing that sense that he comes from another time.  I also really appreciated the representation in Kennedy’s character. Monster Boyfriend Series by Meg Alivien🐺🧛🏼 Review

 Sometimes you pick up a book because you're looking for something specific. In this case, I was looking for something cozy, a little spooky, and quick to read and that's exactly what I found in the Monster Boyfriend Series by Meg Alivien. These books feel a bit like Halloweentown meets Hallmark, with just enough spice to keep things interesting. They’re quick reads that lean into cozy vibes while still delivering monster romance fun. Book One: Howl ⭐⭐⭐ Howl was a cute introduction to the series. The overall atmosphere was exactly what I hoped for. Cozy, slightly spooky, and perfect for fall reading. The romance definitely leans spicy, though the execution felt a little uneven at times. Some scenes were very open-door and detailed, while others shifted from open-door to implication that an act had happened, which made the pacing of those moments feel a little inconsistent.
